Park City Launches Nation's First Electric Bike Share Program
This summer Park City launched the nation's first fully electric bike share program as a part of the municipality's commitment to be carbon neutral by 2022. The bikes are available to anyone and are intended for use by those running errands, commuting or recreating. The bikes will be in service until December and will be back in service in March. There are nine stations located from Main Street out to Kimball Junction where users can rent 88 bikes. The bikes are affordable to rent (cheaper than Uber) and can be easily managed from the kiosks or from the Summit Bike Share App. I took one out for a spin last weekend, and I can say they are good fun and a welcome addition to our public transportation portfolio! You can learn more at the Summit Bike Share website.
